Sacramento New Leader's Council Fundraiser Ads
For this project, the Sacramento chapter of the New Leader's Council (NLC) asked me to create a social media ad for an upcoming fundraiser they were planning to throw.
The original prompt I received asked to include the NLC logo and the general information for the event, leaving me with a lot of freedom.
After sending in my initial design, I was asked to change the logo to the Sacramento chapter version, and include an rsvp link.
For the final design, I ended up changing the background color to match the updated logo colors and resized the text to insure that the link was easily readable. After these edits, the client was very happy with the final result seen above.
For an extra touch, I also sent the client an animated ad for them to use in their Instagram story. The client was very excited at this extra content and said they had an excellent turnout at their event.
Nielsen Brandbank IQ LinkedIn Ad
Above is a banner for a LinkedIn blog post that I was asked to design for Nielsen Brandbank IQ. Using the dimensions and copy provided to me, I quickly put it all together and submitted 3 different designs for Nielsen to pick from. The above image was the banner that was ultimately posted.
Campus Brewing Social Media Posts
During my time as the social media manager for Campus Brewing company, I created copious amounts of content to advertise many different events and announcements.
The owners of the brewery asked me to keep to their brand colors whenever possible, so you'll see a lot of orange in these designs.
When musicians and vendors would send in their own promotional images, I would make sure to include some elements of the brand whenever possible. It wasn't always easy, but the brewery owners were happy as long as the brewery was mentioned.
On occasion, I would take my own images and upload them to Adobe Express to include in the design. Using some of their editing features made it quick and easy to create stories and posts on the fly with images I had saved in my camera roll.
Depending on the event, I would sometimes need to create ads for different purposes. Above is an example of the same ad resized for an Instagram square post, a Facebook Banner, and an Instagram story post.
Personal Projects
Every once in a while, I like to give experiences as gifts to my wife and friends. However, I always feel strange just giving someone a card that says "We're going to a musical!" without putting something tangible in their hands. Since most ticket purchases for events are virtual, I like to create my own.
Above are some examples of mock tickets that I have made as gifts for loved ones. I like to make them in a square size that I send to my local camera shop to print so I can use the black outline as a guideline to cut them into the size and shape of an actual ticket.
