Campus Brewing x Pizzasaurus Rex Proposal
When I was the Social Media Manager at Campus Brewing Company, I was asked to create a visual proposal for a potential collaboration between the brewery and a very popular local pizza shop, Pizzasaurus Rex. These are the collaborative branding ideas that I presented to both businesses.
LEGO Brand Manual Project
As part of a class project, I was tasked with using Adobe InDesign to create a 16-20 page interactive Brand Manual for a company with more than 100 employees. Our designs needed to incorporate at least 3 interactive elements, follow a grid system for consistency, and be ADA compliant in PDF form.
For my Brand Manual, I chose the LEGO Group. This project was also featured in Sacramento City College's Year End Show (YES) - a faculty-curated art show for the Design and Digital Media Department.
When it came to design, I wanted to take a fun and colorful approach to keep the same consistent branding as the LEGO Group uses. After some research, I was able to find a free download of LEGO's current Typeface, and the same color palette according to their current brand standards. Using Adobe Illustrator, I created about 100 LEGO bricks in every color in their palette, as well as some extra mini-figures and heads of mini-figures for some extra graphic elements.
For the interactive PDF, I made sure that the page numbers on the Table of Contents were clickable to take users to that corresponding page. I also made the LEGO logo in the bottom left-hand corner a clickable Home button that takes the user back to the Table of Contents page. The brick headings on most left-side pages were also clickable and would take the user to their desired section.
When it came to the iconic LEGO logo, Color usage and Typography, I wanted to stick to LEGO's actual branding as much as I could while keeping the vibe of my guide consistent. Utilizing my Parent Pages in InDesign was very helpful to ensure that the layout for my text-heavy pages were consistent with one another while my image-heavy pages were a little more free-form  but still well-balanced depending on the page content. I also thought that using flat bricks to help showcase the color palette was a fun little creative element that's very on-brand with LEGO's vibe.
For the final section of my guide, I included some mockups for business cards, mailing envelopes, and business letterhead that creatively reflected the brand and used many of the directions included in the earlier parts of the brand guide. These examples were made using Adobe Illustrator.
Personal Branding
With my personal branding, I wanted to make sure that my personality and style came through with my designs when it comes to my own projects. My logos, iconography and pattern were all made using Adobe Illustrator while the brand board itself was made in Adobe InDesign.
With these business cards, I wanted to showcase my skills as a designer and include a sample of my photography as well. With my designs, I try to keep things cohesive but fun and interesting. With my photography, I try to keep the imagery pretty raw and wanted that reflected here as well.
